Westfalia: the best choice for high-end models and innovation
At Westfalia, travelling in a converted vehicle is more than just a form of escapism: it’s a genuine philosophy. This approach is reflected in our unwavering commitment to quality and innovation. From our two production sites in France and Germany, we create luxury camper vans and top-of-the-range motorhomes that embody the excellence of European expertise.
In Gotha, almost 600 motorhomes such as the Meridian the Columbus the Sven Hedin and the James Cook are produced each year. A new joinery workshop and an additional production line were added in 2021, increasing our production capacity.
The Gotha site stands out, in particular, for its expertise in the selection of materials and finishes, guaranteeing modern, resistant and durable surfaces, while maintaining a high level of detail.
In France, the modernisation of our manufacturing facility has reached a new peak with the creation of an ultra-modern 6,000 m² building dedicated exclusively to camper vans, and a new raw materials storage unit.
The industrialisation of production methods goes hand in hand with the preservation of our craftsmanship, characterised by ‘handmade’, a historic signature that has set Westfalia apart from its competitors for decades.
Models such as the Kelsey, the Kepler One, the Kepler Six and the Jules Verne come to life thanks to a team of joiners specialising in the creation and assembly of high-quality furnishings. Our polyester workshop, rare and unparalleled in Europe, manufactures complex elements such as the Kepler One shower tray, using resistant and durable materials.
Our top-of-the-range camper vans and motorhomes benefit from innovation and experience accumulated over the company’s 180-year history, enabling them to meet the expectations of even our most demanding customers.
Innovation that really benefits the user
At Westfalia, innovation means much more than simply integrating technologies. It’s a continuous reinvention of the travel experience, where every detail is thought out with a view to improving the comfort and practicality of our vehicles. Our teams in France and Germany work together to integrate advanced solutions that make every journey unique.
Our carefully developed modular interior systems, for example, maximise the space available while offering unparalleled comfort. Optimised technologies and energy management systems also ensure extended range, ideal for adventurers who like to head off the beaten track.
This unique flair for innovation regularly earns Westfalia top honours, with the Westfalia Kelsey having been named ‘best camper van of the year’ in the Auto Plus Readers’ Choice Awards.
An award that symbolises our passion for excellence, our capacity for innovation and our desire to push back the boundaries of what is possible in the field of converted vehicles.
